Notes on playing 3D Tic Tac Toe

A ball will appear on the top of one of the spindle when you put your mouse over the spindle. You may have to move your mouse up and down the spindle to find the exact spot which causes the ball to appear. When you see the ball, click and it will drop on the spindle.

To win you must get 4 balls in a row. Think of the playing board as 4 layers of tic tac toe. You can win by placing 4 balls in a row down, across or diagonally as in 1-D tic tac toe but on any layer of the board. You can also win with 4 balls on one spindle, or by placing the balls so that they make a row up, down or across, but they go up a step in series with a the first ball in the row in the first layer, the second ball in the second layer, the third ball in the third layer and the fourth ball in the fourth layer. If you don't understand any of that, play a few games. Study what the computer does and how it wins.
